After 2012, all imported EU tires need to be marked with key parameters

according to the news agency, we should pay attention to this state. On September 13, from September 15 to 16, the EU tire label directive technology response seminar organized by the China Rubber Industry Association was held in Yantai, Shandong Province. The national power battery demand in 2017 (2) and 2020 was 42.8, 55.4, 73.5 and 99.6gwh. The association specially invited Mr. Michael staude, an expert of TUV South Germany group (hereinafter referred to as tuvsud), who participated in the drafting of the tire label directive, to introduce in detail the main contents and implementation requirements of the new directive

the tire labeling directive on fuel efficiency and other necessary parameters (hereinafter referred to as the tire labeling directive) approved and issued by the European Union in early 2009 will be officially implemented in 2012, which is another restriction on tire safety after the EU REACH regulation

the EU REACH regulation imposes strict restrictions on the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons used in tires. This act is known as the regulation of "the largest technical trade measure since China's accession to the WTO". On the basis of the promotion of REACH regulations, the European Union formally adopted the tire labeling directive of the European Parliament and the Council on fuel efficiency and other necessary parameters again on November 25th, 2009, which stipulates that all imported EU tires in the next three years should be labeled with key parameters of tires: fuel efficiency level, wet grip performance and external rolling noise

about 40% of China's annual tire output is used for export, which is highly dependent on foreign countries. The European Union is the second largest overseas export market for China's tire enterprises after the United States. In order to let the manufacturing enterprises grasp the latest tire label directive as soon as possible, formulate relevant countermeasures, further improve the quality control system and improve the self inspection and self-control ability, the China Rubber Industry Association invited relevant industry experts from the raw materials department of the Ministry of industry and information technology, TUV South Germany group and other units to discuss the details of this standard and Countermeasures with the participants in the technical response meeting of the EU tire label directive

with regard to the latest tire label, Solvay, the world's leading supplier of high-performance polymers, announced the order. Mr. Michael staude from tuvsud said that the new EU label directive 2009/1222/ec will be officially implemented on November 1, 2012. The new Act stipulates that newly produced tires should pass the mandatory requirements of tire noise, wetland and rolling resistance performance at the same time, and there are clear performance indicators on tire products. He pointed out that the data of noise, wet road performance and rolling resistance representing fuel efficiency cannot be obtained by indoor tests, and the accurate relevant information must be obtained through the tire testing ground. The investment and maintenance cost of the tire testing ground are high, and it is difficult to maintain it in the case of insufficient experimental volume. In addition, the ability of test drivers will largely determine the accuracy of the test. How to cultivate test drivers is also an important problem faced by the tire industry

experts believe that the promulgation and implementation of the new tire label directive will directly increase the testing cost of tires exported to Europe, indirectly increase the production cost of tires, and encourage consumers to buy more high-end tires. Although the new label directive has brought many difficulties to most domestic production enterprises, for those tire production enterprises that have high-quality products and hope to improve their product image through investment, it is just an opportunity to show customers the advantages of their products. What opportunities should be paid attention to in the use of the testing machine. If China's tires want to continue to gain a foothold in Europe in the future, it is urgent to improve product quality. How to stabilize the huge market of EU is a new challenge for manufacturers
